
Canned green beans are combined with sour cream and onion, then topped with cheddar cheese, crushed corn flakes, and canned French fried onions.
Melt butter and add flour, cook and stir gently until smooth; remove from heat. Stir in soda, pepper, sugar, onion soup (or grated onion), and sour cream. Fold in drained green beans; put in a 1-quart casserole. Mix cheddar cheese and corn flakes or potato chips with butter; sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes, then add canned onion rings and bake 5 more minutes.
