Turkey Stuffing by Roz

Cornbread, chestnuts and sausage flavor this traditional turkey stuffing.
 

Ingredients

  • Cornbread cubed--10-12 cups
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pkg rolled sausage meat
  • 10-15 cooked chestnuts
  • 1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten with hot water to moisten

Method

Make or buy cornbread, Cut into cubes and toast in oven. Crumble corn bread in bowl. Saute celery and onion in butter. Add sausage to pan and cook thoroughly. Add sausage mixture, chestnuts, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper, eggs/water to cornbread. Use stuffing mixture to fill a 10-12 pound turkey.
