Renaissance Festival Turkey Legs

4 Small To Medium Size Turkey Legs- Skin Removed If Desired
4-Tbsp Chicken Blend Barbecue Spice
½-cup White Vinegar
3-cups Water
2-Tbsp Barbecue Sauce


Rinse and pat dry legs .

Mix 3 tbls.chicken spice-1/2 cup vinegar and 3 cups water. Place turkey legs in a resealable plastic bag,pour vinegar and water mix over legs. Seal and refrigerate at least 6 hours,turning often.

Pour off 1/2 liquid. place remaining liquid and legs in pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tbls. of chicken spice blend.

Cover with foil and bake in a 350* oven for 40 minutes-turning after 20 minutes.

Heat grill to medium hot,transfer legs to grill and cook about 30-35 minutes,brushing with barbecue sauce last 7 minutes.

Cook till golden and coated with sauce.


These can be finished in the oven-just pour off remaining vinegar and water. place legs on rack-return to oven and brush with sauce. Increase temp to about 375-400.

**********suggestions-your favorite pork butt rub and a honey bbq sauce-montreal chicken spice grill mates and grilling sauce grilling mates. or use your favorite chicken rub and sauce. Also you can subsitute chicken legs and wings for the turkey legs.
