Serve these meringue nests, filled with whipped topping and cranberry sauce at your holiday meal.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar to soft peaks. Gradually add sugar and salt while continuing to beat to stiff peaks.
Line 15x10x1-inch pan with parchment and drop spoonfuls of egg white mixture on. This will make about 10 "nests". With spoon, make a depression in center of each. Bake "nests" in 300 oven for 20 minutes. TURN OFF OVEN AND DON'T PEAK INSIDE. Let cool entirely before removing from oven.
Transfer nests onto serving platter and line each with a spoonful of whipped topping. Add a layer of cranberry, and then another layer of whipped topping. Set in refrigerator until serving. Can be served immediately.
