All Things Thanksgiving
325 members
One of my favorite holidays deserves a group of it's own, to post family recipes, memories, what to do with leftovers or anything that cries turkey and pumpkin. Oh and brussels sprouts, cranberries, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, Jell-O salads, deviled eggs ... Come and share and give thanks for what's important to us -- food and family and much more. pea

Your Favorite Thanksgiving Side Dish
If you could only have one side dish on your Thanksgiving table, which would it be? There are so many foods that we look forward to enjoying this time of year, but which ONE is your absolute favorite?

If Your Oven Didn't Work on Thanksgiving, What Would You Serve?
I have a large Nesco roaster I would make the turkey in and what couldn't be done on the burners, would be done by someone else... or we would go without...If the turkey wasn't thawed we would go out to eat....Sherry8

What Are You Thankful For? 11/15
Today I'm thankful we are getting some much needed rain - not quite so thankful for the mud that is appearing on the floors!

Green Bean Casserole
We don't care for that casserole either. We like green beans but not with all the goop.

How Do You Cook Your Turkey?
I use to use the nesco roaster for my turkey but I really like the cooking bags, plastic....they turn out so nice and moist and they take less time to cook. I put a few washed and cut up golden delicious apples inside the turkey...peeled too or you will have to pick the peels out of the drippings later...Sherry8

Have you ever dropped your turkey?
It seems like our dogs are always in the kitchen when we are cooking...My lab can be sleeping and when she hears the hot air popcorn popper, she is right there . Waiting for a few kernels to fall on the floor...if none fly onto the floor my husband will drop a few for her to find....Sherry8
