Drunken Sweet Potatoes, Semi-Mash

Sweet potatoes--cooked and seasoned with butter, granulated and brown sugars, vanilla and cinnamon--are flavored with whiskey, then mashed.
Ingredients
- 5 or 6 large sweet potatoes
- 1/3 cup of butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (Jack Daniel's) Whiskey

Method
Peel and cut up sweet potatoes; place in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until sweet potatoes are soft. Drain well. Combine all other ingredients and pour over sweet potato. Allow mixture to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Mash sweet potatoes according to your preference; drain off any excess liquid.
Notes: Sweet potatoes can be mashed a lot or a little, according to personal taste.
