Apple Pumpkin Pie

Apple butter and canned pumpkin come together in this tasty pie crust with just the right amount of spice.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 2 cups apple butter
- 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust

Method
Combine sugar, flour and salt in a large bowl. With an electric mixer, beat in pumpkin, egg, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice until smooth. Stir in apple butter gently with a spoon. Pour mixture into pie crust and cover edges with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Served best with French vanilla ice cream.
